OEM-style  Configurations

ANILAM's OEM-style configurations have been  specifically designed for easy installation into existing console sheet metal and electrical cabinets. The modularity and flexibility of the ANILAM OEM-style  concept are especially advantageous for machine tool builders.

The  panel-mount console is the front end of the system incorporating monitor and  keyboard. The monitor is a 14" color CRT standard or a 12.1" active matrix color flat panel display as an option.

The 4000- and 5000-series OEM-style controls come with a panel-mount manual panel Operator's panel of the Anilam CNC control with built in MPG with functionality for  Start, Stop, Jog, Servo reset and Spindle functions. Rotary switches are provided for Feed rate override, Spindle speed override, Jog axis selection and  Jog resolution. Two versions of manual panels are available, with or without a  handwheel. The manual panel matches the console in width and style.

The industrail PC chasis of the Anilam CNC control The heart of the system is the CNC chassis.

Utilizing the Dual Processor platform, the chassis houses the single-board PC and the DSP2 motion control board. It also incorporates the hard disk drive, power supplies and two  I/O-modules. All functionality is easily accessible from the outside through  standard DB-connectors.

Floppy disk drive that is standard on Anilam CNC controls The remote 3 1/2", 1.44MB, floppy disk drive comes with 15' cable for  mounting wherever the builder needs it.
A basic OEM-style  configuration also includes interconnecting cables between console, CNC chassis  and manual panel.

The standard I/O-capability can be expanded by adding  ANILAM I/O-modules.

The system can handle up to a total of six I/O-modules,  including the two modules in the CNC chassis. Additional I/O-modules can be mounted remotely, at the place where they need to be. The modules have been  designed to fit standard DIN-rail holders. Each I/O-module provides 10 inputs and 6 outputs, all digital. One of the outputs can be jumper selected as an  analog input, if so required. Such an analog input can then be used as an input  to on-screen software gauges. The I/O-modules come either as source or sink and those can be combined freely.

Together with any OEM-style configuration, ANILAM's extensive range of kit components are also available when required. ANILAM offers servo motors, servo drives, motor mount assemblies, ballscrews,  limit switches, handwheels and much more. Some of these kit components are  described under  Kit-style configurations.
