Shape Editor
ANILAM's 4000- and 5000-series CNC systems can be programmed direct in G-code or with the integrated conversational help utility, i.e. ANILAM's conversational G-code. Further programming support is provided by ANILAM's powerful shape editor.

The shape editor is based on ANILAM's easy-to-use geometry calculator. By selecting icons for various standard geometric segments, the geometry is described graphically and all relevant points and intersections calculated.
As the geometry is defined, the shape editor allows the machinist to completely describe the desired shape by selecting the various segments, step by step, combining them to form the desired shape.

The operator can then use that shape to create the actual program, e.g. by using ANILAM's canned cycles, making it real easy to program even the most complicated parts.
The program is finally verified in ANILAM's user-friendly draw graphics mode, simultaneously drawing the part, displaying the program and showing the CNC status.
