Programming usually involves a lot of calculations. ANILAM's integrated programming tools make it easy for the machinist to do all these direct at the control.
The 3000-series controls have a 3-mode calculator including:

1- A math calculator with trigonometric functions
2- A right triangle calculator
3- a geometry calculator to built and draw a form graphically to find intersection points etc.
The Right Triangle Calculator allows the machinist to quickly find any side or angle of a right triangle whenever two pieces of data are known. Then, points, lines and circles can be inserted to find intersections etc. related to the input geometry.
The easy-to-use geometry calculator is the most powerful calculation tool in the 3000-series controls. Here, the machinist can generate the geometry of a part and the result can easily and directly be incorporated into the program. Almost any shape can be generated by adding together standard geometric segments. Icons are used to activate a standard geometric shape and the calculator will display the options. For example, there are four possible tangents to two circles. The machinist selects the desired one and all relevant intersections points are automatically calculated, and can be pasted into the program.
The program is finally verified in ANILAM's user-friendly draw graphics mode, simultaneously drawing the part, displaying the program and showing the CNC status.
