The headstock is clean and straightforward. Three gear ranges provide good power from top to bottom. Our USA made vector drive gives us much wider range of speed in each gear than is indicated on the headstock nameplate. |

The base on all of this series machines is a solid, one piece casting. |

To the left is the optional automatic 4 way indexing turret toolpost. This toolpost has 2 coolant ports ( not visible ) on the base below the turret. They coolant ports are normally fitted with a copper tube to allow adjustment of the aim. They coolant ports are fixed and do not change with the tooling. This is a very economical automatic toolpost if you can live with only 4 tools and the coolant function. The picture was taken during fitting and the rear chip panel has be removed as well as the rear cross slide cover. This toolpost must be mounted on the rear of the cross slide. The photo was take during fitting and the rear splash cover and rear cross slide cover have been removed. These turrets do not lift up during unclamp or rotation. |
