Dalian Machine Tool Group Corporation (DMTG) is a modern company that is growing rapidly with a reputation of innovation, quality and integrity. The core c ompany of Dalian Machine Tool Group Corporation – Dalian Machine Tool plant was founded in 1948. The Dalian Machine Tool Group Corp. (DMTG) was established in 1995 by merging other state-owned companies in the Dalian area into one consolidated machine tool industry DMTG. In 2000, the former state-owned Dalian Special Purpose Machine Research Institute was also merged with DMTG, further increasing its technical force and scale in its manufacturing systems. Its aim is to increase the industrial and export base in the areas of high areas of high speed and flexible machining systems with integrated technology and equipment.

DMTG's core business is machining tools. Over recent years DMTG has continued to broaden its manufacturing base by the inclusion of auto parts, manufacturing, microelectronics and foreign trade. DMTG now has totally 22 effective subsidiaries, joint ventures and cooperation with world famous partners from USA, Germany, Japan, Korea, Switzerland and Israel, including Hennig, Index, OKK, IBAG, ISCAR, 600 lathe, etc. From 2000 to 2004, the company has been staying as the biggest company in sales revenue of machine tools in China for five consecutive years. DMTG also became the only machine tool company that entered the top 500 enterprises ranking of China in 2003. DMTG has established a complete quality management system and in 2000 the company achieved ISO 9001 certification.

DMTG’s five product lines with 300 variations consist of (1) Special purpose machines with flexible manufacturing systems; (2) vertical and horizontal machining centers; (3) CNC lathes including turning and milling centers; (4) high speed precision lathes and machine tool accessories; (5) auto power assembly and power transmission components.

After successfully acquired two divisions from Ingersoll International, USA ---“Ingersoll Production Systems” and “Ingersoll CM Systems” in October 2002 and in July 2003 respectively, DMTG became the main shareholder of F.Zimmermann GmbH, Germany, in October 2004.

DMTG's new manufacturing facilities at the DD Port have an area of 340,000㎡ for the I-phase, and 600,000㎡ for the II and III phase. We now have 20,000㎡ facilities at the DD port to be used for the manufacturing of CNC lat hes, 7000㎡ for the vertical machining centers, and 34,000㎡ for horizontal machining centers an d special purpose machines. We will endeavor to build DMTG as the bases in aspects of automation technology, equipment industry, digital machine tool manufacturing and components for CNC lathes in China.
