Hauerwas Portable Valve Lapping Machines:
We have 2 models in stock.  The hand held S2 with capacity to resurface slide valves from 40 to 100 mm (~ 1 1/2" to 4" ) and the Doppelex-Mobil DM-2 with capacities from 80 to 300 mm ( ~ 3" to 12" )  Both these units can recover the investment in thier purchase with the savings found by repairing valves in position in the system in as little as an hour or so, compared to removing and replacing or outsourcing a rebuild.  The are very valuable in refineries, generating stations, ships, chemical plants etc.

Above is the 4" capacity S2 model.

It has a low voltage power supply for safety.  Valves this size can be resurfaced quickly, in place, with this hand held unit.

Above is the DM-2:
4" to 12" model.  This unit clamps to the valve as shown below.  It has an oscillating as well as rotating action.  As seen below it can be mounted horizontally as well.
