For perspective this shows a similar machine with an operator.
The tilting table is shown mounted on the left side of the base.
Showing the rear alternate work position with tilting table and floor plate Z5040B
There are two alternate work stations: One side of the base and one on the rear of the base. Both are machined and T-slotted to allow direct mounting of a workpiece, or mounting of the tilting table or box table.. This is all standard equipment.

The main electrical components are CSA,
CE and UL approved.
Control circuits are low voltage.

Rear view of the Z-5040-B showing the 2 and 3 areas of T-slots provided for mounting workpeices, jigs, fixtures or direct mounting of workpieces.

The floor plate, box table and tilting table are all standard equipment.
The coolant tank has been put up on the base and the rubber chip protector has lifted to reveal the T-slots on the left side of the base.

  • The head can be rotated 180 degrees to position over the back of the machine.  Machined and T-slotted faces on the back and one side of the base can be used to mount workpieices directly, or a tilting table can be mounted.  Furthermore a separate floor plate and box table can be mounted.    The floor plate, box table and tilting table are all standard equipment.
  • Pushbutton hydraulic clamping.
  • Digital readout of drilling depth
  • Geared headstock with hardened and ground steel gears
  •  Four power feeds actuated by pushbuttons in each feed lever, engaged by electromagnetic clutch.
  • with release built into the depth gauge
  • Semi-automatic tapping cycle. Spindle runs forward to tap and reverses when the pushbutton in the feed lever is pushed, then reverses again at the top  of the stroke, ready for the next hole.
  • Worktable can be rotated ±180°and tilted ±45°
  • Both motor-driven and manually operated lifting system of worktable.
  • Coolant system
  • Adjustable depth stop with inch and metric scales
  • Table has double acting linked clamps with safety interlock to power elevation
  • Drill speed chart for iron and steel on faceplate
  • Drill chuck guard with built in switch to CE standards
  • Available with 600/3/60 electrics, CSA approved, and 230/3/60
  • Standard equipment includes a 1/2" keyed drill chuck with arbour, a MT4-3, MT4-2 and MT2-1 sleeves, drifts, anchor bolts and manual.
  • Built in worklight
  • CE, CSA, UL approved main electrical components
  • Digital display of spindle speed and drilling depth
  • Ideal choice for single piece, small batch and mass production for drilling, counter boring, reaming, tapping, spot facing etc.

A version of this machine is available with a 4 Hp inverter drive giving variable speeds.
Speeds are displayed digitally on the head.
