Hansford 1018 Die Handlers

The Model 1018 Die Handler has a capacity of 400 lbs.

The Model 1018 Die Handler is a precise machine tool, designed to offer a high quality, rugged, portable machine for processing small dies, or molds. The die handler principle (speed, labour saving, and safety to die and man) is applicable to all dies—large or small.

The Model 1018 has an open top platen with adjustable mounting plates. This design permits access to the top of the die to facilitate assembly and repair operations.

T slots are provided in the lower platen for clamping the lower member of the die or mold.
All mounting surfaces are accurately machined.

The top platen is moved vertically by motor or by hand and is supported by four precision steel lead screws operating through bronze nuts. Rapid movement of the top platen is accomplished by the motorized drive. A high mechanical advantage (necessary for light
try-out) is realized by use of the hand crank.

The top platen is rotatable through 360°. It is located at the 0° position by engagement of four locking levers. These together with the four lead screws insure the ultimate in accuracy and rigidity.
